In Good Order

Finding perspective in the midst of complexity

Too often the financial situation of successful individuals and families is unnecessarily complex. Confusion can lead to wasted effort and missed opportunity. In our work, we strive to be more than a financial advisor. We are a trusted partner, able to find perspective through complexity to help you bring your finances in good order.

Everyone has three basic categories of assets – Cash and Marketable Securities, Personal Use Assets, and Other Non-Liquid Assets. As individuals move up the wealth spectrum, they simply have more of each. Higher levels of wealth lead to more entities including trusts, partnerships, and other organizations. We understand this complexity and, more importantly, how to manage it properly.

Our Services and Approach

A highly diversified investment strategy derived from decades of academic research in financial and market theory

At the most basic level, we help clients develop an asset allocation and stick with it while helping them focus on sustainable spending when not earning a salary. For clients in the accumulation phase and those with excess cash from royalty payments and operating businesses; we help them systematically invest excess capital, eliminating cash drag to accelerate compounding. All the while, with a focus on maximizing the after-tax value of client portfolios.

“Whether you have one million or one hundred, we are able to see the big picture and focus your attention efficiently using an integrated approach to wealth management.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a typical engagement begin?

+ In a typical engagement, we begin with a comprehensive review of your financial situation from which we provide general observations on what we have found.

Following these initial findings, we develop a customized asset allocation, savings plan, and guidance on expected future sustainable spending.

From there, we will meet regularly, if desired, to review your situation and update the plan. Between review meetings, we’re available as needs arise.

Where are client assets held?

+ We use an independent account custodian, Charles Schwab & Co., to safeguard client assets.

Do you create your own investment products?

No, but we like those created by Dimensional Fund Advisors.
